Is it just me or is time flying by? It feels like I just blinked at SourceCon San Diego is almost upon us. Are you ready for it? One way I’m preparing is figuring out the songs I will be singing and why. But more on that later.

I was reviewing the Live Band Karaoke sing list for the upcoming SourceCon. It is quite extensive. See for yourself. For giggles, I asked ChatGPT to relate the songs on the list to recruiting and the ideas were amusing, to say the least. These are the ones that resonated with me the most.

Stevie Wonder - Isn't She Lovely
The joy of finally closing that perfect candidate and making a great hire—it feels like finding something truly lovely that fits perfectly within the company.

Queen - We Will Rock You
Every recruiter wants to make a big impact in their organization. Whether it's filling a tough role or impressing a client, you’ve got to "rock" the recruitment process.

Journey - Don’t Stop Believin'
This one’s a recruitment anthem! Even if the search gets tough, you just have to keep believing that the perfect candidate is out there. Persistence is key.

Bill Withers - Lovely Day
Nothing beats the feeling of a "lovely day" when a candidate accepts an offer! It’s a win-win for the recruiter, candidate, and hiring manager.

Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You
For a recruiter, this could be a song from the perspective of a hiring manager who feels lost without the right candidate. "Some people want it all, but I just want a perfect fit for my team!"
